Russian, Ukrainian Officials Agree on Need for Ceasefire After Talks in Paris
Following talks in Paris yesterday, Russian and Ukrainian negotiators agreed that a ceasefire must be observed ‘unconditionally’. The announcement comes after a meeting at the Elysee Palace of representatives from the ‘Normandy Format’ or Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France. Tensions between Moscow and the Kyiv are at their highest with a large amount of Russian troops positioned at the Ukrainian border which is sparking fear that Russia might try to invade. talks will resume in about two weeks in Berlin.
