Biden Administration Will Not Enforce Federal Employee Vaccine Mandate
After a federal judge from Texas blocked the enforcement of the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandate for government employees on Friday, the administration now says it will not be enforcing it due to ongoing litigation. The announcement comes after Judge Jeffrey Vincent Brown called the mandate an overstep of presidential authority and sited the recent Supreme Court decision to strike down a separate administration mandate that had applied to private sector workers. Currently, more than 98% of the federal workers are in compliance with the mandate and more than 93% of federal employees are vaccinated with at least one dose.
