Man Who Drowned at Assisted Living Facility in Horry County Identified

According to Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard, a 52 year old man drowned yesterday morning at an assisted living facility in Horry County. According to Willard, the man identified as Christopher Symonds of Greenville was found in a swimming pool at an assisted living facility off of Highway 179. Security cameras caught footage of him, showing his time of death at 3:20 a.m. Symonds was in the area to move his parents into the facility, his cause of death was ruled as asphyxiation due to drowning.
