Man Who Drowned in Ocean at Myrtle Beach Identified by Coroner
Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard has identified a man who drowned in the ocean on Monday. 34 year old Wilber Guerra was pulled from the water near 39th Avenue North at around 1:45 p.m. According to Willard he was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 2:30 p.m. Guerra was visiting with his family from Maryland and his death was ruled as asphyxiation due to drowning.
