S.C. Native To Represent USA In Supermodel International Competition
19-year-old Giavanna Lyerly's selection as Supermodel International USA has now opened the door to representing her country on a global stage.
A South Carolina native is heading to the international stage for a competition.
19-year-old Giavanna Lyerly grew up in the Johnsonville area of Florence County. She first stepped into the spotlight as a little girl on ‘Toddlers & Tiaras.’ She became a model whose resume includes work in New York, Los Angeles, Florida and Paris.
Earlier this year, she was crowned U.S. Miss Teen 2026. Her selection as Supermodel International USA has now opened the door to representing her country on a global stage. She will compete in the Supermodel International 2026 Competition.
Lyerly’s journey has been difficult involving her recovery following a serious car accident, and returning to modeling as well as pursuing her education at Francis Marion University.
Lyerly is preparing to leave for Thailand to compete alongside delegates from around the world from Oct. 18–24. She said she hopes to bring home the crown but whatever the outcome, she’ll carry the pride of her hometown with her.
