Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit by a Vehicle in Dillon County Last Night

A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Dillon County last night. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 8:52 p.m. in the area of Highway 301 and McCallum Road. Highway Patrol troopers say a 1998 Chevy pickup truck was headed north on Highway 301 when it hit a pedestrian that was crossing the road. As of right now, the victim’s identity has not been released. The driver of the truck as well as two passengers were wearing their seat belts at the time and were not hurt in the accident.
