Lindsay Graham Tests Positive for Covid

Graham is fully vaccinated and said he had "flu-like symptoms".

Senator Lindsey Graham announced yesterday that he tested positive for covid-19. Graham is fully vaccinated and said he had “flu-like symptoms” over the weekend, and yesterday a doctor confirmed his test results. The senator tweeted that he has mild symptoms and that he’ll be quarantining for 10 days. He added that he’s glad that he was vaccinated, saying his condition would otherwise be worse. Graham attended a party on Saturday aboard the houseboat of Senator Joe Manchin and at least seven other senators have confirmed their attendance at the party as well. When asked about the gathering, Manchin said everyone that was on the boat is vaccinated and they were outside. The CDC guidelines include testing for covid three to five days after exposure to someone with a confirmed or suspected case, and wearing a mask in public indoor settings for 14 days or until they test negative. As of yesterday afternoon, just under 50-percent of the U.S. population is fully vaccinated, according to the CDC.
