USPS service being maintained following Post Office fire in Longs
The USPS is taking steps to make sure mail is delivered in Longs following a fire that left the post office heavily damaged on Friday night. A spokesman for the USPS said that door delivery will be maintained and a mobile unit will be brought in today and P.O. boxes are scheduled to be installed during the week. According to Horry County Fire Rescue, crews were called to the building at 10:38 p.m. on Friday night. The Loris Fire Department also responded to help with the blaze. Customers who get their mail at the Longs Post Office can pick up their mail at the North Myrtle Beach Post Office with their photo ID. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
