Lawyer is Primary Suspect in Killing of Federal Judge’s Son

New details have emerged and the FBI has identified the person suspected of killing a New Jersey federal judge’s son and injuring her husband. Yesterday afternoon the FBI identified the accused suspect as Roy Den Hollander. They say Den Hollander was found dead, and law enforcement officials say the suspect died of what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Reports indicate a person dressed as a FedEx delivery driver came to judge Esther Salas’ home in North Brunswick, New Jersey on Sunday and shot her husband, ttorney Mark Anderl, when he answered the door. The couple’s 20-year-old son came running to help his father and was shot and killed. Den Hollander was a lawyer who once argued a case before Salas, according to court records. On his website, Den Hollander describes himself as an “anti-feminist” lawyer who defends “men’s rights.” Judge Salas was believed to be in the basement during the shooting and was not harmed. She is the first hispanic woman to serve on the new jersey federal bench. So far, there’s no word on an official motive for the shooting.
