Driver Injured After Police Chase Ends In Crash

The driver of a black Ford Ranger reportedly failed to stop for blue lights, prompting police to pursue the vehicle.

A suspect involved in a high-speed chase in Conway was injured when the pursuit ended in a crash.

The driver of a black Ford Ranger reportedly failed to stop for blue lights, prompting police to pursue the vehicle.

The chase ended in the area of Church Street and 16th Avenue around 2am Tuesday. That’s when a trooper performed a pit maneuver in an attempt to stop the pickup truck.

The driver then lost control resulting in the truck overturning several times. They were not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. They were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The trooper was not injured but the patrol vehicle had minor damage. The incident is under investigation.
