Protesters Demand Increased Justice in Developing Ahmaud Arbery Case

Hundreds attended a rally over the weekend in Georgia for Ahmaud Arbery. Participants included “historically black fraternities and sororities, civil rights organizations and black-led gun rights groups.” They gathered in crowds or drove around in their cars for over four hours from Atlanta to Brunswick. They called for the resignations of the initial district attorney who recused herself, and the second who took over the case but refused to press any charges. The case also further developed over the weekend. Multiple people were caught on camera trespassing in that same under-construction home that Ahmaud Arbery was last seen alive in. Furthermore, it’s reported one of the suspects, 64-year-old Gregory McMichael, wanted “the public to know the truth” and personally delivered the video footage of Arbery’s death to a radio station in order to prove he and his son were innocent.
