SC Senate, House Vote in Favor of Expanding Absentee Voting
The South Carolina House and Senate have unanimously voted in favor of a bill regarding absentee voting for June’s primary. The new measure will allow for “all South Carolinians to request absentee ballots and mail in their vote” without question as opposed to risking their health to vote in person at a polling station right now. However, only residents in cities or counties still under state of emergencies will be allowed to participate. Now it will be up to Governor McMaster to sign the order into law.
