Senator Elizabeth Endorsed Biden, Considers Vice Presidency
Senator Elizabeth Warren announced yesterday her endorsement for former Vice President Joe Biden after holding out for weeks. Warren shared the news through a video posted to twitter. In it she said, “Empathy matters. And, in this moment of crisis, it’s more important than ever that the next president restores Americans’ faith in good, effective government.” She cited Biden’s previous public service work, integrity and competence as reasons why he would be an effective leader. She further added, “We can’t afford to let Donald Trump continue to endanger the lives and livelihoods of every American.” Then last night in an interview, Rachel Maddow asked Warren if she would consider running for vice president alongside Biden if he asked. The former vice president promised during a debate last month he will pick a female for his running mate. Warren, responded, without hesitation, that she would say yes to the job if asked.
