Conway Will Not Declare State of Emergency
The city of Conway is no longer going to become the third city in the state to issue a stay-at-home order. Currently, Charleston and Columbia are the only cities to enact such precautions. Conway city leaders got together yesterday evening on Zoom, which was broadcasted on YouTube, to vote on the issue. But two hours prior to the meeting, the governor declared the work or home order which prompted Conway leaders to forgo the vote on the proposed ordinance. However, they did also agree to intensify their social distancing efforts.
