During These Tough Times, We Must Remember the Good
Between the social distancing extension and the high rate of virus-related deaths occurring worldwide, it’s become more crucial than ever to recognize the good. The shortages hospitals are experiencing are a major concern, but companies like Mercedes have teamed up with clinics and universities to help bridge the gap. In less than 100 hours, they’ve designed a new breathing aid that can be mass produced and will help replace ventilators. Lack of access to tests has also been a major issue. However, the FDA just approved a new 15-minute coronavirus test that could potentially save thousands of lives. Communities, churches and more have stepped up, too, whether that’s neighbors helping neighbors, or people sewing masks and applauding health care professionals during shift changes. Major brands are also doing their part. Starbucks is providing free drinks to those fighting on the front lines and tomorrow, Taco Bell is giving away Doritos Locos Tacos to anyone in the U.S.
