Grocery Stores Nationwide Implementing New Safety Measures

Social distancing has become crucial during this pandemic but it’s difficult for most essential employees to maintain. Grocery store employees are especially at risk with the influx of customers they’ve been receiving since the pandemic began. This is why companies such as Kroger, Walmart, Albertson’s, Publix and more are taking extra steps to keep their employees safe. They will install temporary plexiglass sneeze guards at cash registers and pharmacy counters within the next few weeks at all their locations across the nation. Albertson’s alone has control over more than 2,700 stores. Other social distancing measures have been put into effect at these grocery stores. Floor decals and waiting points will be installed at checkout counters as well in the coming weeks. They will be designed and positioned to keep people six feet away from each other as they stand in line.
