Essential Companies Are Hiring During Pandemic
Another major concern the U.S. has been facing is increased unemployment, but there are companies who are hiring in these dire times. As retail stores, bars, sit-down restaurants, public parks, beaches, and more close and let their employees go, places such as pharmacies, grocery stores, online delivery services, and take-out restaurants are experiencing a large volume of customers. The need for essential goods has become higher than ever. This means there is also a large demand for employees. Companies such as CVS, Walmart, Amazon, Instacart, Dollar General, PepsiCo, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, 7-Eleven and many more have become essential during the pandemic. They’re actively hiring hundreds of thousands of temporary employees as their businesses boom. Walmart alone plans to hire 150,000 new employees and get them started in as little as 24 hours.
