Congress Fails to Pass Second Coronavirus Relief Bill
The U.S. has become one of the most impacted countries by the coronavirus as one in three Americans are being ordered to stay at home for the safety of others. The U.S. also saw it’s deadliest day yesterday with at least 100 more deaths. This brings the total now to 541 with the number of infectious cases reaching 42,660. Sixteen state governors have issued official stay-at-home orders, all of which will go into effect by tomorrow. In California, they have now temporarily shut down all state parks, beaches, and other recreational places after thousands disobeyed the stay at home order and refused to maintain social distancing. While states continue to work towards stopping the spread, congress has failed to pass yet another $2 trillion dollar stimulus relief bill. Democrats claim republicans are making the same mistakes that were made during the 2008 economic recession by favoring major businesses and corporations over people.
