Governor McMaster Enacts More Restrictions Statewide

DHEC has confirmed the total number of coronavrius cases statewide has risen to 81. As a result, Governor Henry McMaster has issued a new executive order that would require “all non-essential state employees to stay home from work.” All schools and universities are forced to restrict classes to online. Visitation in hospitals has been seriously reduced. SLED has also been informed to “vigorously enforce” laws during this time in order to prevent the possibility of increased thefts and violence especially due to unemployment. Not included in the “non-essential” places, despite much concern, are public beaches. Citizens are encouraged to remain calm, practice common sense, and refrain from panic buying.
