Horry County Closer to Becoming Second Amendment Sanctuary

Horry County is again one step closer to becoming a Second Amendment sanctuary. Yesterday evening, the Horry County Council voted 10-1 in approval of the second reading on the ordinance. If passed, the law would allow for local government to oppose stricter gun laws that could be passed by state or federal governments. As a third reading is set for the next council meeting, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson has filed a lawsuit with the South Carolina Supreme Court. He has asked them to dissolve the stricter gun laws previously passed by the city of Columbia.
