Victims of the Deadly Tennessee Tornadoes Identified
Search and rescue crews are still working two days after Tennessee was hit by multiple deadly tornadoes. They have confirmed that the search is 90% completed but three people are still unaccounted for. At least 24 people have been killed as a result and the majority of those have been identified. This includes a couple, their 2-year-old son, an elderly couple, and four other young children. The ages of the victims range from 2 to 67-year-old. Thousands of people have already turned out to volunteer their time cleaning up the damage and attempting to help locate those still missing. The national weather service’s storm prediction center has confirmed that it was two powerful EF3 and EF4 tornadoes reaching wind speeds up to 175 mph that caused all the death and destruction. They’ve also confirmed this is now the second deadliest tornado to ever hit Tennessee, the first which occurred on march 22, 1952.
