Missing Charleston Woman Found Dead in Spartanburg Home
A missing Charleston woman has been found dead in a Spartanburg County home along with another male. 28-year-old Celia Sweeney was reported missing by co-workers and friends on Friday. Her car was later found abandoned that night by Charleston police. 32-year-old Buddy Carr of Spartanburg was initially labeled as a person of interest in the case but police declined to give a reason for why they suspected him. Upon further investigation into Carr, both he and Sweeney were found dead in a home. Sweeney’s cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma to the head and ruled a homicide. An investigation into Carr and his death is ongoing pending his autopsy.
