Stepmother Charged for Death of Missing 11-Year-Old Boy

A stepmother has been arrested in Myrtle Beach and charged with murder. 11-year-old Gannon Stauch was originally born in Loris, then moved to Colorado a few years ago with his father. But, family including his mother and grandparents remained in the Myrtle Beach area. Over five weeks ago, Gannon was reported missing in Colorado. His body has not been recovered by police yet but his stepmother Letecia Stauch was arrested and charged yesterday. She faces first-degree murder of a child under 12 years old of a person in a position of trust, child abuse resulting in death, tampering with a deceased human body and tampering with evidence. Letecia is in the Myrtle Beach jail awaiting bond and extradition to Colorado.
