Powerful, Deadly Winter Storm Causes Damage Throughout the Southeast
Multiple people are dead and several others injured as a powerful winter weather storm passes through the Southeast. Mobile homes in Mississippi, Alabama, and Kentucky were completely destroyed or floated away. Entire communities and roads have been flooded and shut down. There have been multiple mud slides in Tennessee and Kentucky. From Louisiana to Virginia, power outages have been reported due to fallen trees and sagging power lines. Hundreds of flights were canceled as tornadoes also touched down in several areas throughout the Southeast. One person was killed and another injured in their mobile homes after high winds destroyed them. Anita Rembert was with her husband, her child and two grandchildren, when she was killed. The man was injured but the children were okay. And a second person was killed in Fort Mill, South Carolina after a tree fell on their car while it was in motion.
