Final Iowa Caucus Results Almost In
97% of the votes from the Iowa caucus are in after days of high anticipation. Presently, Pete Buttigieg remains in the lead just ahead of Bernie Sanders, but now by a much narrower margin of only .1% . Elizabeth Warren came in at third with a gap of 7.9 points, and Joe Biden and Amy Klobuchar are trailing behind in fourth and fifth place. The final results are expected to be revealed later today and it’s turning out to be an extremely tight contest with Buttigieg and Sanders vying for first place. The delay in results has been labeled a major embarrassment for the party and referred to as a “slow moving car crash” with the candidates not doing much to help their case. Elizabeth Warren’s campaign manager has recently come out saying Buttigieg exploited a loophole in the campaign finance rules in order to “influence the spending decisions of a pro-Buttigieg super PAC.”
