Researchers analyzed Google searches to find the words Americans have the hardest time pronouncing, with worcestershire sauce taking the top spot at more than 321,000 monthly searches. coming in second was “gyro,” followed by “dachshund,” “niche,” and “porsche.”

Some surprising findings included people in Ohio searching how to pronounce “spaghetti” and residents in several states looking up how to say their own state’s name! Here in South Carolina, the most searched pronunciation was “salmon,” proving that sometimes the trickiest letters are the ones you’re not supposed to say.
