Business Damaged During Large Fire On Main Street In Pamplico

One building was damaged during a large fire in Florence County.

Around 2pm Thursday, Florence County Fire Rescue crews responded to 200 E. Main Street in Pamplico after reports of a fire at either the Yellowhammer Liquor store or a nearby gas station.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the building fully engulfed in flames, threatening several nearby buildings.

The blaze was brought under control in under one hour. The cause of the fire is now under investigation by the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
