Lindsey Graham’s Sister To Fill Senate Seat Following His Death

The sister of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham has been appointed to fill her brother’s Senate seat after a push from President Trump.
“It’s my honor to ask his little sister, Darline Graham, to finish his work for him now,” S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster said. He appointed Darline Graham Nordone nearly 48 hours after Graham died suddenly from an aortic dissection.
“This would be a fabulous tribute to Lindsey, who loved her dearly,” President Trump said. Her appointment fills the seat through January 3, while voters decide in November who will hold the seat for the next six-year term.
