Boy with service dog kicked off plane at Charlotte-Douglas Airport
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WFXB) – They are man’s best friend, but an airline is apologizing after a disabled 12-year old boy and his service dog were kicked off a plane and forced to spend Thanksgiving in a hotel room.
Bryant Weasel, who suffers from seizures, was traveling home with his family and his labradoodle, Chug, after spending his first vacation ever right here in Myrtle Beach. It wasn’t until their connecting flight in Charlotte that the flight attendant approached the family and the 110-pound dog and said the manager asked the family and Chug to exit the aircraft.
Weasel says she was offered a $150 voucher from the airline after she called to alert them of the issue.
