Myrtle Beach Traffic Stop Leads To The Arrests Of Two Men
They found an AR-15 style rifle, fentanyl, crack cocaine, a hand gun, marijuana, additional suspected cocaine, and two cell phones.
A traffic stop in Myrtle Beach led to the arrest of a wanted man.
The stop was conducted along Highway 501 for a defective brake light. The front passenger was identified as a man involved with an attempted homicide which turned the situation into a felony stop.
Officials searched the vehicle due to an odor. They found an AR-15 style rifle, fentanyl, crack cocaine, a hand gun, marijuana, additional suspected cocaine, and two cell phones. Both male occupants of the vehicle were prohibited from possessing firearms.
29-year-old Jaleek Johnson was charged with first-offense possession with intent to distribute cocaine, first-offense possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, first-offense possession of crack cocaine, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana and defective brake light.
44-year-old Calvin Johnson was charged with third-offense possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, third-offense possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, first-offense possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Calvin is being held on an over $35,000 bond while Jaleek is being held on a more than $70,000 bond.
