Forget dating profiles and personality quizzes…apparently some people think you can spot husband material just by looking at a guy’s face.

An ancient Chinese face-reading practice dating back about 4,700 years ago claims that certain facial features are supposedly clues that a man would make a good husband. Specifically, round eyes, thick eyebrows and fleshy noses are more likely to be loyal, compassionate and financially stable partners. Round chins, full lips and large earlobes are also considered signs of a caring, dependable and prosperous future husband. Research also suggests that women often associate gentler-looking faces with better parenting and commitment skills, while ultra-chiseled “alpha” faces may scream “fun weekend” more than “joint costco membership.”
