Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Motorcycle In Horry County

The accident happened around 9:30pm on Saturday in the area of North Kings Highway and 18th Avenue in Myrtle Beach.

A crash in Horry County claimed the life of one person.

The accident happened around 9:30pm on Saturday in the area of North Kings Highway and 18th Avenue in Myrtle Beach.

36-year-old Michael Whiteis was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of Kings Highway on foot when he was struck by a motorcycle.

Whiteis was taken to a hospital where he died the next day. The Myrtle Beach Police Department is still investigating the crash.
