Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life Of 66-Year-Old Woman

The passenger was identified as 66-year-old Velma Golbold who did not survive the injuries she sustained.

A single-vehicle crash in Horry County claimed the life of a 66-year-old woman.

The crash happened around 9:30am Sunday when a Chevrolet pickup was driving west on Spring Branch Road. It veered off to the right, over-corrected before driving off the left side of the road and overturning.

The passenger was identified as Velma Golbold, who did not survive the injuries she sustained. The driver of the truck was not injured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking into the crash.
