Child Dies After Being Pulled From Pool In North Myrtle Beach
The child was taken to a hospital before being located to another medical facility where later he died.
A 4-year-old boy has died after he was pulled from a hotel swimming pool in North Myrtle Beach.
The child was pulled from the pool at the North Beach Plantation along 48th Avenue S. on April 21. He was visiting the area with his family from Palmyra, Maine.
The boy was already receiving CPR treatment when EMS arrived on the scene. He was taken to a hospital before being located to another medical facility where he died Monday.
During an investigation, police reviewed security footage that showed the boy and other children playing in the pool. He began “flailing and sunk under the water,” where he remained for around four minutes before a hotel employee pulled him out.
Further details are limited as North Myrtle Beach Police continue the investigation.
