Man Facing Charges For Assault While Armed With Hatchet

Davon Cokley allegedly broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child.

One man has been arrested following a burglary and violent assault.

On Tuesday night, Davon Cokley allegedly broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child through a second story window. He was armed with a hatchet and reportedly struck the woman in the face with his hand.

The woman’s sister heard commotion and entered the room when Cokely attacked her as well. He threw the hatchet at her, which hit the door as she fled. Cokley then continued assaulting his ex.

Police were called and Cokley was arrested and charged with burglary, domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and assault and battery. No medical attention was needed for either victim.

Cokley reportedly has two prior convictions for domestic violence in the past 10 years.
