Kingston Resorts Hosting Annual Earth Day Beach Sweep
If every person who lives in Myrtle Beach picked up 5 pieces of trash every day for a year, they'd collectively clean up 73 million pieces of garbage.
Haley Grace-McCormick of Nature’s Negotiators was in the studio with detials on Kingston Resorts‘ Annual Earth Day Beach Sweep.
Wednesday, April 22, Kingston will host a free educational workshop with speakers from the SC Department of Natural Resources and the Bureau of Coastal Management to discuss beach habitats, sea turtle ecology and nesting as well as the adopt-a-beach program and coastal outreach. Following the discussion, participants will help with a beach sweep along the coastline in front of the resort.
Pizza will be provided for anyone who joins after the clean up and with an additional $10 donation, which goes to Nature’s Negotiators, volunteers will have one-day access to Kingston’s Currents Seaside Waterpark.
