The Arc of Horry County Hosting PB&J Competition Fundraiser

Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Grady Campbell with The Arc of Horry County was in the studio with details on an upcoming fundraiser.

The Arc of Horry Inc. is proud to announce its participation in
The Arc’s statewide MLK Day of Service initiative, a project supported by AmeriCorps, The Arc of the United States, and The Arc of South Carolina. This effort honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by expanding inclusive service opportunities and addressing hunger in local
communities.

The event will mobilize hundreds of students, families, and community volunteers to create thousands of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for local hunger relief efforts. Additionally, they also have a friendly competition between Horry Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) and Coastal Carolina University (CCU) to see which team can assemble the most PB&J sandwiches during the event window.
