Myrtle Beach High School Student Leads Nation In High Jump
Julian Brown cleared 2.24 meters in the high jump. That totals to 7-feet 4.25-inches.
A junior at Myrtle Beach High School now leads the nation in the high jump.
The 20th Beach Run Invitational was held over the weekend. On Saturday, Julian Brown cleared 2.24 meters in the high jump. That totals to 7-feet 4.25-inches. The score earned him first place at the meet, jumping 14 inches higher than the second place finisher.
Brown was also the Boys Most Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet. He is now ranked number 15 all-time in high school track and field history.
Separately, Miracle McClean is a senior at Carolina Forest who also placed in first for the high jump competition in the girls category, jumping 1.77-meters, which totals to 5-feet 9.75-inches. She also placed first in the long jump competition. She was named Girls Most Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet.
