Police Pursuit Ends In Fatal Motorcycle Crash

A police pursuit in Horry County ended in a fatal crash Thursday.

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle along Highway 22. The biker failed to stop leading police to pursue it.

During the chase, the Suzuki was heading north on Highway 31 when it ran off the road and struck a tree. Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene shortly before 2pm.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a hospital with critical injuries where they later died. Their identity has not been publicly released.
