2 CCU Men’s Basketball Players Arrested

Joshua Beadle and Nadjrick Peat are being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

Two players on the Coastal Carolina University men’s basketball team were arrested this week.

Joshua Beadle and Nadjrick Peat, one of whom is the team’s leading scorer, are both listed as graduate students on the university’s website. They were both arrested by Conway police.

The arrests come in response to warrants that were issued in connection to an off-campus incident that allegedly occurred around March 15.

Both of the players were charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct and are being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on $10,000 bonds.

Further details surrounding the incident remain limited. The university will proceed through the appropriate student conduct process, as with any alleged violations.
