Horry Co. Crash Claims The Life Of A 28-Year-Old Woman

28-year-old Shadazya Mitchell of Dillon was killed in the accident.

A crash in Horry County claimed the life of one person.

28-year-old Shadazya Mitchell of Dillon was killed in the accident that happened just before 2pm Monday along S. Highway 701 near Highway 67 in Loris.

Mitchell was heading north on 701 when her Kia crossed over the center line and veered off the road to the left. The vehicle then overturned and struck a tree. Extrication operations were conducted to remove Mitchell.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash with assistance from the Horry County Police Department.
