The top five are: Boston…Reno, Nevada…Savannah, Georgia…Overland Park, Kansas…and Henderson, Nevada. of the 200 cities they considered, Paterson, New Jersey came in dead-last, followed by Brownsville, Texas and Bellevue, Washington.

Chicago was just shy of the top ten at number eleven and in 1962, the windy city used 60 pounds of green dye to become the first city to successfully dye its river bright green on St. Patrick’s Day and they’ve been doing it ever since.
