The annual event aims to raise funds for the Special Olympics of South Carolina.

You can register for the event as an individual or as a team. It cost a minimum of $50 and you must also complete a waiver form during registration.

The proceeds benefit determined athletes who participate in the S.C. Special Olympics that will be held later this year.

The Polar Plunge will take place on January 31 with times starting at 10:30am throughout the day with the last plunge set for 2pm.

The event will be held at Sands Ocean Club Resort along Shore Drive in Myrtle Beach.
