Three Arrested After “Shots Fired” Call Prompts School Lockdowns
The suspects were identified as 19-year-old Brandon Davis, 18-year-old Ty'Sean Coe and 20-year-old Miyon Mungo.
A Darlington County shooting prompted several schools to be put on lockdown.
Just before 2pm on Monday, police were called to the area of Society Avenue on reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officials were informed that a white Honda was involved in the shooting, which was seen at W. Carolina Avenue and 6th street.
A traffic stop was attempted but the driver fled before crashing into a tree behind a residence on Green Street.
Shots were fired at officers after the crash and two of the suspects fled on foot while one was arrested. The other two were later detained.
They were identified as 19-year-old Brandon Davis, 18-year-old Ty’Sean Coe and 20-year-old Miyon Mungo. All were charged with one count of attempted murder.
The incident caused five nearby schools to go on a precautionary lockdown, which delayed dismissal until just after 5pm.
No one was injured during the shooting.
