Threatening Palisades Fire Burns Out Of Control Across Los Angeles
Around 80,000 people have been evacuated as the flames threatened tens of thousands of homes.
The Palisades Fire started around 10:30am Tuesday in Los Angeles and has quickly spread since then.
With winds reaching at least 40 mph, the flames rapidly spread to nearly 200 acres and massively grew. It continued to spread through the hillsides.
As of Wednesday morning, the fire has burned over 2,900 acres with zero containment.
Around 80,000 people have been evacuated as the flames threatened more than 10,000 homes. Multiple homes have already been engulfed by the flames, but an exact number is not clear at this time.
Evacuation orders have expanded into Malibu as the fire creeps into the same area that was just devastated by the Franklin Fire in December.
The state has dispatched 110 fire engines to Southern California in anticipation of high winds that could reach up to 100 mph, which are expected to feed the fire further.
There have been reports of multiple burn victims, and at least two deaths have been recorded.
