Man Arrested In Connection To Fatal Robeson Co. Shooting
Around 5:40pm on Tuesday, police were called to a residence on Nettie Drive in Shannon.
One man was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting on Christmas Eve.
Around 5:40pm on Tuesday, police were called to a residence on Nettie Drive in Shannon in Robeson County.
Upon arrival, 55-year-old Curtis Locklear was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
32-year-old Timothy Griffin was arrested an initially charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a firearm inside of an enclosure.
After Locklear died, Griffin’s charges were upgraded to second-degree murder.
Griffin is being held without bond at the Robeson County Detention Center.
An investigation is underway and anyone with information is asked to contact Robeson County authorities.
