Horry Co. Council Asks For Public Input On Proposed Home Development

The Horry County Council is asking for the public’s input on a proposed home development.
The 372-home development would be located on around 180 acres near SC-905 and Old Reaves Ferry Road. The council did not approve the development and said it would like to hear more from the community.
The proposal is drawing renewed scrutiny from neighbors who argue they don’t need more homes. The Planning Commission has signed off on the rezoning but the council must approve the rezoning and development agreement that’s needed for the project to move forward.
Council members will hear more public input regarding the issue on Dec. 8.
