Half of Us Feel Guilty Taking Vacation

...even if they are working while on their getaway.

Here’s something that should definitely be banned…feeling guilty for taking vacation time.

But, around fifty percent of Americans feel guilty on vacation, even if they are working while on their getaway. A communications company surveyed two-thousand adults nationwide and 86 percent said they receive phone calls and messages from colleagues while they are away while over 60 percent say they feel anxious if they don’t check work messages, and 59 percent say they struggle with switching from work mode to vacation mode. The survey also indicates that 70 percent of participants experienced mental health issues from overworking.
