Blue Origin Launches First Successful Passenger Flight To Space In Two Years

Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin has successfully launched its first passenger flight to space in two years.

Six tourists were on board the rocket, including 90-year-old Ed Dwight, the first African American man to train as an astronaut.

The 11-minute suborbital flight took off from Blue Origin’s base in West Texas around 9:30am Sunday.

The rocket took them over Kármán Line. The area is considered to be the border between Earth’s atmosphere and outer space.

After traveling to the edge of space, the six new astronauts then successfully landed back in a Western Texas desert.

The journey restarted Blue Origin’s space tourism business for the first time since its New Shepard suborbital rocket was grounded in 2022.
