Man Released From Jail on Bond, Back in Custody Following High Speed Chase

A man who was released from jail on bond, is back in custody following a high speed chase. Anthony Gamble III was out on bond for a 2017 attempted-murder charge in Marion County. But, he is back behind bars after leading Horry County authorities on a pursuit on Highway 501 that police say reached nearly 110 mph. Authorities apprehended Gamble in Marion County after he abandoned the 2012 Ford Fusion he was driving, which had been reported stolen in Myrtle Beach, and then hid in the woods. Gamble remains in the J. Reuben Long detention center after being charged with driving under suspension, failure to stop for blue lights, improper lane change and possession of a stolen vehicle. He has a history of other criminal charges, including attempted murder and carjacking.
